1.      Need Granular Data

         Contract with Specialty Pharmacies to provide patient level daily messages which include status                  and sub-status. Contracting with SPs ensures that you construct a robust data exhibit to support your KPIs. Ensure that you have enough carrots and sticks in your contract to ensure timely, complete and accurate data from SPs.

 

2.      Monitor & Improve Quality of Data

         While you may have contracted to receive timely, complete and accurate data it often does not play              out that way in the real world. Data is often missing or with errors such as invalid information,                    mismatch data, illogical data and duplicate data to name a few.

 

The key is to constantly monitor incoming data and identify such an issue. Following up with SPs to rectify errors can be frustrating and time consuming.

 

Ensure you have algorithms and processes to identify errors and fix them.

 

3.      Contract Compliance and Scorecard

         Measure SPs compliance in sending timely, complete and accurate data. Create scorecards to                            measure their performance.
