Key Life Cycles
We recommend brand teams to monitor these three key lifecycles.
1. Patient Life Cycle: Track patient from the moment they first enter your sphere through the time they exit. This means understanding various stages from initial prescription to patient enrollment by SP to benefits verification to first shipment to refills to closure. You can achieve this at an individual patient level or aggregate this based on geography or any other metric you may chose.
Monitoring this will allow you to measure service delivery to your patients.
· Are your patients receiving therapy in a timely fashion? If not, then find out the reason for the delay.
· What is the adherence rate?
· How long are patients staying on therapy?
· Are you losing patients to customers? Or are they ending therapy for a different reason.
2. Dollar Life Cycle: Track where every dollar comes from. Understand what part of the payment comes via private insurance, Medicare, patient copay, patient coinsurance, co-pay cards and other avenues.
3. Product Life Cycle: Track product movement from factory through distribution channel to patient. Dead product and return. Forecasting. Fraud.
